Welcome to this unique learning opportunity! I designed this course as part of my exam in training and development, and it’s intended solely for educational purposes. Although it is not an accredited diploma or offered by a registered training organization, I hope you find the content both engaging and insightful.

Welcome to Advanced Study of Clinical Hypnosis and Transformational Psychotherapy

Our course is based on the HLT Health Training Package. To complete the qualification, a total of 10 units must be selected from the listed units. The delivered units include: Work within a clinical hypnosis framework, Prepare for clinical hypnosis session, Provide clinical hypnosis session, Monitor and evaluate clinical hypnosis interventions, Develop clinical hypnosis and strategic psychotherapy practice, Apply strategic psychotherapy techniques to clinical hypnosis work, Establish and confirm the counselling relationship, Work legally and ethically, Provide brief interventions, Support people to improve relationships, Recognise and respond to crisis situations, Work with diverse people.

The course is delivered via distance learning through e-learning, with students having 18 months to complete it (with an option to extend for an additional six months on a month-by-month basis). Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) candidates have 12 months from enrolment. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification or the units of competency.

Students must have an appropriate level of English language skill, access to a computer with necessary software, internet, and a video and audio recording device. LLN skills are assessed at enrolment, and a student declaration regarding access to all other requirements is obtained.

Course Progression and Support Services

Our comprehensive course progression system ensures that students are well-supported throughout their learning journey. Prior to enrolment, students receive detailed information packs, including course details, estimated workload, and the Student Guide. Once enrolled, students are introduced to staff, receive enrolment information, and get instructions for accessing course materials immediately. Regular contact is maintained through monthly reminder emails about upcoming live virtual classes and additional support emails sent at key intervals—seven days after enrolment and subsequently at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 months.

Study support is available throughout the course, including fortnightly interactive webinars, telephone support, and a dedicated email inbox monitored daily for assessment queries. Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills are assessed at enrolment, with referrals to external LLN programs for those requiring additional support. For learners with disabilities, assistive technology and translator services are provided upon request.

Flexible scheduling allows students to engage with e-learning programs at their convenience. We offer counselling services, mediation, and alternative formats of learning materials, such as large print. Financial support through payment plans is available for students facing difficulties with upfront fee payments. We are committed to keeping students informed of any changes and maintaining records of such notifications. Complaints and appeals are addressed promptly, fairly, and effectively, with all records maintained in our Register.

Each student is provided with comprehensive assessment resources tailored to support their learning and evaluation. These resources address the specific assessment conditions for the units of competency offered in this qualification. Students have access to a range of assessment workbooks corresponding to each unit of competency, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the course requirements. Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in the general administration field of work, whether in a classroom, workplace, simulated setting, or at home.

With over a decade of experience, she has devoted her career to aiding individuals in overcoming mental health challenges and enhancing their overall well-being. Julie's credentials include a Professional Certificate of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from the Australian Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy, complemented by a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming acquired at the Institute of Applied Psychology. Renowned for her expertise in digital wellness, Julie has created and disseminated hypnotherapy content for various wellness apps, addressing issues ranging from Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Insomnia Disorder to Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and stress management.

  • To succeed in this hypnosis course, students must have an appropriate level of English language skills. This is crucial for understanding course material, participating in discussions, and completing assignments effectively. LLN (Language, Literacy, and Numeracy) skills will be assessed by our staff during the enrolment process to ensure participants meet the necessary language proficiency.

  • Students need access to a computer with Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word®, and a web browser installed. Additionally, you must have access to the internet and a video and audio recording device, such as a smartphone or webcam, to participate fully in the course activities. This equipment is essential for engaging with course content, completing assignments, and recording practical exercises.
